The wait is over. Second "edition" of Tak available now.
The second edition of Tak is now available for purchase on Greater Than Games’ (GTG) website for $59.95 (USD). Since it was first revealed by Patrick Rothfuss during a livestream in December 2020, it has only been available for pre-order on Worldbuilders Market with a speculative shipping date of sometime in February or March.
Along with the availability for immediate purchase, GTG released a new How to Play Tak video that gives a closer perspective on the second edition and confirms no changes to the core rules of the game.
Although the Tak community’s initial response to the second edition was largely negative and there was some confusion along the way regarding an “overhaul” to the rules, the roll-out of this second edition is now complete. The Tak world awaits to hear from those who choose to purchase the new edition, for their reactions and reviews.
