    What is the Tak Times?

The Tak Times is an online publication that produces articles on new in the Tak world and a quarterly issue of articles and other content for all Tak players to enjoy. It is an ambitious experiment to grow the community and spread the joy of Tak.

    What is Tak?

Tak is a two-person, abstract strategy game with similarities to chess, Go, Hex, and others. Tak has been around since 2014-15 in its current form (commercially produced in 2016). It is easy to learn with simple rules, but the depth of the game has not been fully explored. It is similar in complexity to chess. Learn more on the Tak Wikipedia page, read the rules, and play online on Playtak.com.

Is the Tak Times affiliated with anyone?

We are an independent group of Tak players. We are not affiliated with Cheapass Games, Greater Than Games (the commercial producers of Tak), Patrick Rothfuss, James Ernest, the U.S. Tak Association, or any other organization or individual.
